Keyboard Music Works is an authorized Yamaha Music School. We have been creating incredible musicians for over 20 years in the Detroit area. We currently have 200 students in over 30 classes at various levels, starting as young as 3 years of age.

Our graduates excel as private piano students in all genres of music as well as being very succesful taking up additional instruments in bands and orchestras.

Many of our students are featured as soloists in choirs at their schools and churches due to the vocal work they receive in our classes. We are a leader in teaching composition with state and national composition winners in various competitions each year.

We moved into our new location in January 2003 to better meet the needs of our students.

Yamaha Music Teachers

Yamaha teachers are chosen for their strong musical background, ability to play all keyboard instruments, a clear singing voice, and for their special rapport with children. They all have an innate ability to instill musical knowledge and to develop a passion for music in their students.
Yamaha teachers are observed at all levels of their teaching by master teachers who give them feedback on their teaching. They must pass a difficult series of musical exams and undergo constant training at the Yamaha centers to make the Yamaha course an exciting and enriching experience for your child.
